My experience with JL subs is short but this is what I suggest:
Get 2 or more thick comforters and spread them on the floor in front of your speakers & subs. See how that sounds. I do not know what sonic accessories you have? Bass Tubes? Carpets? If none, then those bare walls and wood floor will echo. Try the comforters or a large area rug and see the difference that makes. I don't see anything hanging on the walls, but the comforter trick is a quick and easy way to test what sound deadening will do.

Get the Subwoofer setup disk from Soundoctor.com.

Call Randy Weaver at JL Audio tech support. Just call the main number, hit tech support prompt and he usually answers. He will spend a long time setting up the subs properly and answer any questions on placement. But first get the disk from soundoctor.

GET A CR-1 IS A MUST- as soon as you can
YMMV
