We talked about the Hauraki Regiment which both he & my Grandfather served in and about Karate and how he learnt a bit in the SAS.

Its the 2nd Man awarded the VC that I have been lucky to meet in person- the other was Jack Hinton VC way back in 1977 at an ANZAC Day Parade.
