My 7.3 are installed as the surround speakers in my home theater (as my test), and I must say so far I love them. I'm going to get 5 more for the main TV room on the main floor.

The sound full and clear, and the timbre resembles my sonus faber olympica 3. Which is by my design, someone in the sonus faber section gave me a tip to find in ceiling speakers that are the most similar to my main speakers and I think it worked fairly well.

I have very little to compare these against. My experience is with Jamo in wall/ceiling speakers. While my Jamo do sound good for in ceiling, my B&W in ceiling speakers sound good without any qualification like "for an in-ceiling". They sound good compared to small towers in a similar price range.

I'd say my Jamo in ceiling sounded much better than the in wall 7.5 I demo'd in store which had me very concerned. The in-wall 7.5 speakers took an authoritative male voice and made it sound weak and whiny. Maybe it's a poor demo installation, maybe the demo room put a crossover set too high for it to sound full. But the low cost titanium tweeter design of Jamo really has my ears fatiguing quickly so it's worth the risk. Now when I go back to my 5.1 setup with 5 Jamo speakers I feel like the sound is compressed, like listening to a low bitrate quality mp3.

If anyone is considering the 7.3 I highly recommend it.
The low frequency only goes down to the mid 50s so you'll still need a subwoofer, but even without a sub it still has great sound quality.
