When I was with or a Mac dealer we would unbox and bench test every unit before the customer took delivery....We considered ourselves to be the LAST link in the chain to customer satisfaction and our local reputation was on the line. This was much more important than some factory in NewYork.
We sold more than just McIntosh and needed to treat all clients the same.
The local dealer made McIntosh's reputation according the main man himself, Gordon
Gow, he was happy to tag on to the local dealers recommendations.
