For source I have a couple of streaming options: I have a Linn Sneaky DS, which has a pretty decent DAC, and I have an old Squeezebox Touch (24/192 capable) to which I could add a DAC like a Gungnir or Bifrost. Any opinions? If I go with a Schiit DAC, would a Bifrost be a good fit given the Yamaha isn’t going to be the most transparent system? Or should I go for the Gungnir?
I think the Bifrost Multibit would be a good fit for this Yamaha integrated. Right level of functionality, performance and sound quality for the investment and for the integrated you're pairing it with.
