Concur. Historically around 6 months after completion of the current flagship upgrade programme. I would put it late 2012 given recent events. I wouldn't think anything radically new though. Perhaps a fuller implementation of the 1.4a spec such as 4K scaling. Perhaps TCP/IP 100Mb switching for HDMI sources. The Japs are getting quite into 4K so there will be domestic demand for it.
The current flagship does a beautiful job with iP scaling. The 1080p up conversion on Foxtel 1080i material (IQ2HD TDx850NF) and even SDTV is quite supurb.
The AVP/POA combination is a beast of resplendent build. The scheduled upgrade offering full 3D pass-through capability, as well as Audyssey MultEQ XT32, Audyssey DSX, Audyssey Pro Installer option, Dolby PLIIz and DTS NEOX will round it off nicely.
I have yet to bring the combo fully online as I am awaiting to integrate with the McIntosh pieces currently on order.
230v editions are currently rare to come by. There is no availability in Oz until at least towards the end of the year.
