Thank you so much for this post. I read the review carefully. I think the room matters a lot and the ancillary equipment. I think you could apply this review to virtually all the new Wilsons to a high degree. I don't know how any speaker in my room with my gear could sound any better than my Alexx.

I have always wanted a true reference speaker. The XVX is a true reference speaker. I didn't buy it for any other reason.
