Your sentiments are certainly understandable, but they saddened me a bit, got me thinking: I have a working Maxtor drive with the operating system software and some nice music files loaded on it (removed in September when I moved up to the Seagate 750). You are welcome to borrow it for a long as you need to help troubleshoot what is going on with your unit. Just PM your address and it will UPS tomorrow, to you by Wed, worst case Thursday.
