I am currently eight feet between tweeters.

I had the 802 D3 in a smaller room where they were only 5 feet apart, the sound quality was still excellent, but the soundstage was all squished into a smaller space, and the height of the instruments was not accurate.

By bringing the speakers into a bigger room and increasing the space between them, the soundstage is obviously bigger and the height and width are accurate now.

My sitting position is currently about 9' 10" from the speakers.

I just move them into this room a couple of months ago so I'm still tweaking everything.

As far as the binding posts on the Macintosh 601 monoblocks, I have been using the 4 since I got the speakers, but have just been recently experimenting with the 8.
