Why mp3? Because I have some mp3 files. I also have FLAC files, m4a files, LPs, CDs, reel-to-reels, cassettes ... I've been an audiophile for a long time. I have music in a lot of different formats. I even have a few broadcast carts laying around.

Thankfully, I always managed to avoid 8-track cartridges - an awful format. <shudder>

I knew when I posted the original comment here that I shouldn't have admitted to having any mp3 files. Hence my comment:
