In my setup, the Classé gave a presentation like the orchestra at a classical concert: seemingly recessed behind the speakers, a lot like an actual stage. The Pass seems a little more midrangey and forward and a bit more liquid in the midrange and treble. Despite that, as I said, I've not seen any modern class-AB SS amps that don't measure flat, and I doubt very much these have any measurable departure from flatness. I haven't heard the Boulder gear, so can't comment on your experience.
