I auditioned the 803 and 802, there was just no comparison to me when we cranked them up a bit. Even at low volume it was a better listening experience

Welcome to AA! And contrats on getting the 802D3. I also auditioned both 803 and 802, and arrived at the same conclusion - the 802 has more presence and soundstage, and B&W seem to pair very well wth Mac amps.
