I own a pair of IRS V and A pair of the RS1B. I never bought the beta for the same reason you heard they clip and shut down if playing loud. It's because of a singe midrange just above the two large Emins . It's also an issue with my rs1B but it has fuses so they blow slower . Ps audio amp is fine and very good it is the speakers. Years ago when I. Demoed them twice it became clear to me they just could not play loud or loud enough for me. It's a same too as they were the best sound ever until they clipped off line .
