I really didn't focus on CDs/SACDs before, so I only had a BRYSTON BOT-1 feeding my BDP-2. Even then, I mostly used the BOT-1 for ripping purposes ( which it does very well). So, no good comparison from my experience. I'm still waiting on a cable, so haven't heard hi rez yet through this set up. That said, the sq from the BOT-1 and this combo isn't even close for red book (imho). SACD is just fantastic - I'm glad to add that format to the stable. Now, DSD will be another major test.
