Jerome thank you. I am skiing today so I can't take any pictures. The D7000 has the best Dx sensor Nikon offers now and despite what you may have read has great high iso performance to 6400, here is a link
http://www.bythom.com/nikond7000review.htm Thom Hogan's D7000 Review is up![/url] Thomas Hogen is a well respected pro and ohis review tells the good and the bad . ...."Thus, I'd say that you can use very gentle noise reduction techniques in post processing and get very printable ISO 3200 images out of this camera in sizes up through what your largest desktop inkjet printer can handle (13x19")." If you use gentle nois reducy
Tion on the camera at high iso ie above 3200 and dont print larger than 13x19 you can not tell the difference between the D7000 and D700. If you print a lot of poster size high iso shots you might want a fx size camera. If you shoot larger than poster size at lower than 3200 the D7000 is better than the the D700 as it is a higher megapixel sensor16vs12. . Raw pictures are 14 bit not 10 or 12 like the D300 and D700. I had a D300 and think this camera is better and i like the smaller package.Take care
