That Sony is among a number of SACD players that have a specific chipset that allows the bitstream to be captured by a computer.

There is software you need to load onto a thumb drive then depending on the exact player, go through some specific steps that then allow a PC on the same network of the player to capture the stream while the SACD spins.

E.G. rip the SACD to a DSD/DSF file. Once you learn the steps for a given player it is quite simple.

When I get a new SACD, it’s first spin in a player is in my OPPO 103 to capture the RIP.
