When used with the Lumin U1, you can try the USB output (up to DSD128) or coaxial output (up to DSD64) and see which sounds better to you. When you use the coaxial output, the USB has to be disconnected first.

I haven't used any of the streaming sights yet. When streaming from a Synology NAS drive the KO1x will only recognize PCM from any of its inputs. The staff from my dealer is very knowledgeable about Lumin and Esoteric and has not gotten Esoteric players to decode DSD from a NAS drive.
