I remember hearing that same question when I had vinyl records. This was in the early 1980's and compact discs were taking over along with the industry pushing "high end" cd players. "Vinyl is dead" was the mantra then. I never sold my records and guess what? Records are popular again. I understand the need for an alternative format but we can still choose what format we like the most. I have always along with others enjoyed holding the physical discs and reading the notes on the cover.
