I’ve been enjoying Tidal for some time now. Last evening I looked into the mysterious (to me) Roon for the first time. Sounds interesting.
Now that my curiosity is peaked, I need to figure out the plan to implement it. I read up a bit and I “think” I understand the concept.
If I start out with my windows 10 PC, I should be able to use my recently purchased Oppo UDP-203 which is supposed to be Roon ready as a Roon point and it’s digital out to feed my Schiit Gungnir DAC. Is that right? What are the advantages of the Roon NUC or ROCK then?
