Ivan, when we compared the Esoteric stack with the Burmester at your place early July, I felt that the 089 defended itself quite well.
Of course, the Grandiosos are in the überleague, but the 089 comes in the next group I think.
Too bad Dieter Burmester never wanted to implement SACD technology.
Combined with a 911 power amp, this CD/DAC/pre makes a great system.
