This hour meter must have an extremely low milliamp draw because I am still on the original 9V battery I connected it to when I began logging hours on the meter.

Yep, You can just sticky tape the meter onto a 9v battery & it just ticks over...Sure to get a few thousands of hours of wind forward time on a single battery. I was even running 2 off the same battery.
