Live concerts are like going to a college football game. It's a big hassle. Lots of of rude, frequently drunk people, and expensive. But, there's just something different about seeing it live.
I, too, shun large arenas and stick to smaller venues. That means I also miss the really big names that draw large crowds. I'm more than okay with that. I hit about 6 or 8 a year. Next one for me is Rhiannon Giddens in a venue that holds less than a thousand. Regardless, my ear plugs will be in my pocket.
