Front end is a HTPC with JRiver running USB into a PerfectWave DAC MkII. In the last two years I've auditioned many speakers including Wilson Sophia, Sasha, Alexia, the Totem Element Metal, Paradigm S8, B&W 802 Diamond, Sonus Faber Cremona Elipsa and others.

Even before break-in and running off a receiver I would have to say I'm thrilled with the performance of the 7T. Extremely good imaging and soundstage. Very well balanced. They're not excessively clinical, picking apart the music like the Wilsons. At the same time they are not excessively warm like the Sonus Fabers. Each of the speakers I'd auditioned in the past had some obvious flaw that made me hesitate. So far I can't find a flaw with the 7T.

Very impressive dynamic range. Absolutely no need for a sub-woofer. Plenty of thunderous bass when needed. I can hardly wait to hear them with a proper amplifier and after a few hundred hours of break-in.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the 7T.
