I spent about an hour back and forth emailing McIntosh to make ARC happen, but once I got it to work I've been pleased.
My Mc salesman also told me I don't need streaming on my oppo because TVs stream too so it's unnecessary. But then he couldn't get ARC to work, and the optical out of my TV for some reason isn't 5.1 sound. Before I got some help directly from Mc I bought Amazon fire to stream for me.
I'm well off today, but the Amazon Fire TV remote is pretty intuitive for having so few buttons.
