They convey the essence of the amp more than any speaker I have ever heard. I compared AR REF 110 with LS 27 SE pre to a Burmester Integrated on the K1's. It was astounding how different it sounded. With the AR gear the presentation was very large, loud, (big time wow factor) and exciting, but everything was larger than life. With the Burmester it was a lot more subdued, with a much smaller soundstage, but way more natural and musical
