As always, my ying may be your yang. I've never found the high$$ tubes to be worth the money (some of the Tels, Bugle Boys, etc.). Have been able to find very nice sounding tubes at reasonable cost. To my ears, the GL labeled modern tubes sound good. Too bad they don't offer a 6SN7.
