I’ve just finished spending some time comparing my current Isotek cables (Optimum, Elite and Sequel range) with Shunyata (Venom and Alpha) and found that the Shunyata cables provided more transparency/detail as well as more realism with some of the music. There wasn’t a night and day difference but it was certainly more noticeable on certain types of music (eg lots of bass or instrument variety) and I was able to enjoy the music in a different way. I even had my wife and teenage son sit there and listen without telling them what was what and they could pick the difference consistently.
I’m certainly not saying that Isotek cables aren’t good cables as my experience has been very good with them and value for money they are excellent IMHO. Yes you pay more for the Shunyata cables but they are better in a number of ways, at least in my system - it’s whether you can justify the price difference for the improvement that one gets in their own system is the question.
