It's really easy to unscrew the existing wire connector plate and slide the plate inside. You can wrap the wire loom around the N-800-F can. Then just buy a strip of wood trim and drill 2 holes for screws plus whatever wire you want to run in to the cabinet. Saves you a lot of trouble if you aren't sure what you'll be doing long-term.

For the speaker stands a quick google search brought up a lot of carpenters on etsy willing to customize stands, I may end up going that route.
