Exactly my thoughts on the 9Ks. They seem to balance out a better at higher listening levels. At the lower levels I do 95% of my listening at the bass is too much and has to cut back to allow the upper mids & highs their chance. I've been listening in the near-field and am going to move the 9Ks back to see if it helps with the treble/bass balance. Am also thinking of stuffing some foam in the ports.
