I contacted the fine folks at SF in Italy and they will be sending me a replacement set of the faceplates, at no charge. They did specify the problem may reoccur in a few years due to external factors like high humidity, but at least I should now have spares. They also explained that they have discontinued the soft material used on the Elipsa Red tweeter faceplates, so new products should no longer suffer from this issue. Very pleased with their service and dedication to their costumers!
