Hi Bvdiman,

The MIT cables are used to act like a low pass filter, I read that a normal cable can start oscilating with very high frequencies were the Spectral gear is capable off (and damage the tweeters, or burn the amplifier). But as I am only using a CD player as a source the high frequencies should not exceed the low 20Khz mark. (I don't know if a distorted signal can also cause the problems)

The more I think of it, why did Spectral not include this in the amplifier and leave the customer a free choice of cables, I know they have a bit of a different vision then other manufacturers. (by the way, not trying to bash Spectral, have heared them in beautifull sounding set ups)
