I've done a brief review since I last read the thread. I've seen nothing that comes close to an Accuphase/SE17 fully triamped system. While the Se17 is no kitten, I can't see Ivan going with a gargantuan system of massive height. The Se17 is quite adjustable, beautiful, the right price, predictable in sound, the right size, and I am sure SF would work very hard to satisfy his musical taste.
