Went there back in December of 1982 for a scientific meeting at the Banff Springs Hotel. Place is idyllic and nothing like seeing the Rockies covered in snow. Tried to ski but it was way too cold - at least for me - at the mountain top (~12,000 ft.). Oh and it took like 30 mins to get to the top. So instead stayed inside the lodge at the top of the mountain and stayed warm and looked at the snow!
