Thank you sciricia for the offer. After adjustments it appears to be working fine. My instructions stated having arm pad opposite of the trigger mechanism which did not leave enough pad to lift arm without skating it across LP. Arm pad is now about 45 deg from trigger arm (I rotated the arm pad on the base).
