TMC,

The new crossovers are really nice... If you compare both (new and old one), and even supposing two are new, certanly, the second one (that you built), will be better... Nice components, air core inductor, good caps... And the original one are worn by time... You'll have good improvements... Congrats!

I did a re-build at my Klipsch's crossover (RF-62II), and I had incredible improvements... And my Klipschs were new, just one year old.

I removed (of original one) the inductor and the cap of mid's crossover, and I used them in my new cross, 'cause I wanted see the diferences before change the whole cross... See:






The RF62II's crossover is a 12dB/octave, such as tweeters as mids... But on the tweeters there is a parallel Notch filter, probably to correct an anomaly in the its frequency response.

This kind of upgrade works very well!!!
