Difference is all tube including power supply for LL2 vs hybrid for L2 with the power supply being the tubed part. What one hears is attributed to tubes and not necessarily is it more "accurate" but does sound a bit more organic with that Lamm magic naturalness for the L2 while the LL2 sounds a bit more euphonic and richer. Not a night and day difference but noticeable and depends on your preference. Of course if balanced are needed....
Pick up a preowned LL2, enjoy it, compare to L2 and sell if need be, you won't lose any money if bought at the right price!
