I think recognizing the marketing savy of Bose is a compliment and a credit to all that the man achieved. I look back on the deal Bose did with a major Automotive manufacturer - this was brilliant marketing and unheard of at the time. It was very lucrative for Bose, ended up helping other manufacturers who followed the lead and most importantly OEM automotive audio is massively better then the joke it used to be.
The achievements in audio and consumer electronics by Bose are many and indeed the man will be missed. RIP Amar Bose
