Hello Gary - browsing some threads on a rainy morning. The splitter shown may or may not work; however it won't cause any harm.
What is shown is a stereo splitter - right and left signals split to two separate cables. 12V triggers are mono signals, so the 1/8" (3.5 mm) RCA pin has two rings, not three. If the internal contact of the trigger makes contact with both right and left rings it will work, but no guarantee as far as I know.

There are mono splitters out there (dual subwoofer applications, etc.). Search for:
