Call McIntosh with the serial number and they can tell you. Or you can reach Richard Modafferi, the designer of the MR78, through Audio Classics and they can help you. In all cases, it is my understanding that any MR78 can be modified to meet the same performance standards. I recently had my MR78 serviced and updated by Richard and am extremely pleased with it.
