I have them in my HP.
They are tough to describe. Not really comparable to any other power tube.
They are almost like a EL34 in its midrange presentation, though the lower registers are much more extended and powerful.
They image very well and have a touchable character.
Highs are little rolled off. I don't believe them to be a reference tube in the accuracy sense. Not necessarily a negative depending on your speakers. I use Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolutions which tend to sound harmonically rich to begin with, so overall I think I prefer the more balanced sound of the KT-120 as it sounds more linear and believable. Very cool tube, but also costly. I enjoy both the KT-120 and KT-150, though I am not sure I would spend the dollars again for eight of them if I can spend half the expense and have KT-120s. Just my two cents...
