Finally, the Raidho C3.1 speakers are in the house after having been sitting in Charlotte, NC since 25 September 2012 (air freight via Scandanavian Airlines -- no boat for these jewels
).
Customs & Homeland Security formalities, holidays, duty fees, bond fees, etc., was responsible for the delay (which usually takes a week to 10 days or so to process through). I knew that ahead of time, but then red tape, the holiday, then no residential service on this day because of schedules, etc., kept delaying direct delivery day after day.
Finally arrived locally and I jumped at the thought to go get them myself from the local shipper this evening (exactly at 6PM).
So, I'll be busy for the next few hours; after I eat, shower, etc., and have a cold beer -- I deserve the latter and need the former.
More pics as I go thru the unboxing process.
Wait 'til you see the burl walnut pattern -- Lars from Nordost was at the factory and personally looked for the best cabinets for me -- he sent photos weeks ago & I was floored by how pretty the pattern was. I can't wait to see the speakers in person.
The small box contains the C3.1 speaker bases.
Best
