otenmsa.......The Dynaudio Contour 3.3 are relatively efficient at 89dB. In addition they are rated as a 4 ohm speaker with the minimum impedance shown as 3.2 ohms. This means the speaker will be relatively easy to drive with nearly any amplifier, solid state or tube. My suggestion would be to consider an amplifier with at least 150 watts per channel so that you have sufficient headroom for those times when you'll want to crank it a bit.

Since you are using a C2300 preamplifier I assume you wish to stay with McIntosh, so perhaps a MC252 as a starting place. My personal opinion is the C2300 and MC452 would be the perfect mates for the Dyns and will likely keep you very pleased for many years.
