Serge, I don't know if I should laugh, cry or puke at the above. At one point you're making fun of the snobbery of fine watches and then you need to remind us of where you once 'resided' ........ sad.
For the record, my Grandfather, a watchmaker, schooled at Hamilton in Lancaster, Pa. taught me to respect and appreciate fine watches.
As for your comment above regarding 'quartz', my Great Grandfathers 1888 Waltham Appleton Tracy still keeps excellent time, with it's original movement, lets see one of your quartz movements do that after 130 years !
