Tube amps with the relatively low damping factor inter act differently with speakers than the SS units with higher damping factors. That allows the drivers to be less controlled and the frequency response to be less linear which you may prefer with your speaker and is why you might like tubes. Some reviewers politely call it tube bloom. And as others have said if you want to step back then a MC 60 or MC 75 of the first generation are the amps to choose. My favorite amp from that period was the MC3500. Not for the power but for the sound Quality! Nice a mellow yet firm in the bass and more than revealing in the top octaves with out being strident or irritating like so many other amps.
