The machining detail and design detail of this 'structure' is awesome, now I understand the price tag..

Greg... What you don't see is that every point at which a steel rod contacts/meets another piece; there are 2 special polymer flat washers. This further isolates each and every point in construction. Quite remarkable when you think about it.

Wish there was a way to have pictures of your several Cape systems by themselves w/o posts, etc. I hate clutter.

So in pic #6, second to last, the "washers" around the metal bars just past the threaded section are a polymer material? So does each level of the rack "float" on these washers? And then the shelves themselves have special isolation discs as well right?

Yes, you are correct, however you can't see the polymer isolators in any of the pics.
