Ticket for 110mph OVER
The Michigan State Police issued a ticket about a week ago to a driver for exceeding the 70mph limit by 110mph.
Michigan State Police have cited a driver for, get this, traveling 110 miles per hour over the speed limit. They say they clocked the driver, who was driving a 2016 Dodge Challenger, going 180 mph in a 70 mph zone. They sent a redacted version of the ticket which you can see below. State troopers issued the ticket at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 19 on southbound I-75 near Sigler Rd. in Monroe County. How did they actually catch a driver going that fast? MSP tells MLive there were other troopers in the area further down the freeway to help and the driver did stop for them. https://www.mlive.com/resizer/Ts0k9l...BJOYOHJYC4.jpg |
Jim, Corona times seem to offer empty highways that are inviting...
I guess you better only do this in Germany, on certain parts of the Autobahn. |
180 MPH, that was no ordinary Challenger! 140ish is the fastest I've ever driven.

Didn’t think that Dodge could go that fast. Must have been scary.

According to Dodge....
The Challenger SRT® Hellcat can cover a quarter mile in 11.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 199 MPH. And another https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geVl3Ql_8cc |
Damn, I had no idea they were that fast.

Most cars today have no problem getting to 100 mph. Then the high powered cars have no problem getting to 150. Then the super sedans with a tuned ECU and some down pipes 180 no problem. Hyper cars are a whole different ball game.

The SRT probably can do that (2016?), but doing at night...? It should be pretty scary.

Dude is lucky to get a ticket and not jail/impound—-
