Up to the top floor during the show, where another creation of Bruno Putzeys was demonstrated.

Those who have read my thread mentioned above know I would never say no to a Christmas present with these in it. :D

Sourced by a Innuous server, I heard again the fantastic scale, depth and soundstage with a clarity to behold.
This is top quality in every audiophile domain.

The first track I heard sounded great but it was as if there was lacking some 'body' compared to what I had heard last month.
Was it the size of the room?
Are these speakers meant to be heard in rather small places?
It was still very good, don't understand me wrong, but I was missing that last bit of grandness.

After the track the BXT modules were put on, and we realised we had been listening to the Kii Three without the BXT!
Wow, this is such good value for money.
For 28K, you have everything, cables included!
But 13K gets you started already, and will be enough for all but most exigent music lovers.
Add a streamer (or a CD transport if you like) and you're good to go.

We visited the other rooms to taste some other flavours.

The Marten room:

Music came from the tape machine:

PS Audio remains in the dealer network here, so it will not lose its popularity as quickly in a dealer's audio show.

It sounded decent... but a bit coloured after the neutral demos with Bruno's gear.
I've never really gotten into the Marten sound to be honest.

The Klipsch room:

Hmmm... no comments.

Last room shwocased the Harbeth - Lindemann - Bergmann system.

Those who know me realise I'm not a Harbeth fan, but what piqued our interest was the new turntable.

We listened together with Bruno Putzeys, who immediately gave his technical insights.
These were for yours truly, a humble audiophile, far beyond his knowledge. :D

I'm not a turntable expert, so feel free to enlighten me, but this seems to be revolutionary idea in the analogue world.

Electronics: Lindemann.
A streamer/pre/DAC and power amp. 8K together if I'm not mistaken.
Seemed like good value.
NCore modules, so Bruno Putzeys was again in the game!

I'd like to hear this turntable and also the Lindemann components with other speakers than the Harbeth Super HL5 Plus.
It sounded muffled and veiled, but I think that was due to the speakers.

Sorry if I ruffled someone's feathers, but I always try to be true to myself.

Hi Bart - thanks for the 'tour'. Your experience with Harbeth speakers pretty much parallels my own and agree about hearing the vinyl rig in a different system. Is that 'normal' stylus/cantilever cartridge or laser based?

Conclusion

It was an honour to spend so much time in the presence of one of the best designers in our hobby.
He presented us some units that soon will find their way to speakers and amplifiers.
Which brands remains to be seen.
His units can form a threat to some brands that develop their own (driver) units, but at a much higher price.
Maybe an opportunity for a brand that doesn't mind to buy off the shelf components?

When we asked Bruno whether he was afraid that his products will be copied, he answered us that they will be copied, for sure, even with their patents, and that he will only be able to stay in business when he keeps ahead of the competition.
After this demo, we're convinced that his future seems quite secure.:thumbsup:

I think it is laser based Glenn.
But again, I hope others chime in.
I'm not an analogue expert... at all. :D

Bart,

Thanks for the effort, and great job for some good Saturday morning reading!

Thank you gentlemen for very interesting reports. Perhaps we’ll hear some of Bruno’s work in a US show some time soon.
