Doomsday Clock

So according to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, the hands of the doomsday clock remain at 2 minutes to midnight for the second year in a row. The so-called fate of civilization now rests in a state of a “new abnormal.” My question is simple, does anyone take this vestige or relic from the post WWll era seriously anymore?

Would probably be more accurate to say the clock is at 1 minute 'till midnight now that US and Russia have both decided to pull out from the intermediate-range nuclear missiles treaty. Sheer madness.

I hear you. Add into the mix that an additional third of the planets population (India, China) have now entered into the age of energy consumption in order to have have warm hands at night in the winter and a cool torso in the summer.

It isn't a pleasant prospect.
