Serge.......The YouTube video title is incorrect. The guy did not fire the weapon. He thought he was a bad ass when he struck the other driver but got his ass handed to him quick when both of the younger men hammered him. The presence of the weapon in the woman's hand was what seemrd to immediately end the fight. When she handed the gun to the man who began the fight he only pointed the weapon at the two guys, he did not fire it. The sound you hear is a vehicle door being slammed closed. He commited assault and assault with a deadly weapon, and the woman was an accomplice to assault with a deadly weapon. Charges could be brought against both of them using that video.

I'll bet the guy who started the fight will think twice before he tries pulling that big bad ass routine again.

EDIT: On second viewing I believe the gun did discharge when he racked the slid. I think he had his finger on the trigger when he racked the first round and it discharged immedaitely. He is lucky he did not shoot himself.

I think I saw this video on 20/20 a few months back. If I remember correctly the instigator(guy that got his ass kicked) is serving time. If you start a fight, you cannot pull a firearm to stop the now pissed-off perp. De-escalation is key. I have learned to substitute my middle finger for a thumbs up:thumbsup:

I'd be ashamed if I got my ass kicked by a guy wearing pajamas.

Dan, I believe he did at 0:20 in the video. He was chambering a round and could have pulled the trigger, perhaps inadvertently. At first I thought it was also a door slamming but as I watched it a few times, it sure seems and sounds like the gun went off with the round striking the ground.

This is the problem with some people. Carrying a gun does not make you Rambo. It does not mean that you can start a fight with someone because they did something to p*ss you off under the false security of being able to back it up with a firearm like this not so bright individual did. Just the opposite I'd say, stay away from any and all trouble. I posted this video as a reminder, if you carry a firearm, do not engage in any way an individual who has not threatened your life with deadly force, it will only get you into a big heap of trouble...

This video is a great example how quickly things go wrong. Once again, if you carry, be sure you read a good book or two on the subject. I would think this individual did not and as a result of his false sense of security and bad @ss attitude, him and his wife/girlfriend are facing the following charges:

Update: 3/26, 10:15 a.m. -- WITN reports that the suspects, Christy and Bradley Turner, have been charged. Bradley Turner is charged with discharging a weapon into property, two counts of assault by pointing a gun, going armed to the terror of the people, injury to personal property, and assault. His wife, Christy Turner is charged with two counts of assault by pointing a gun. The couple posted $38,500 bond.

Another example of sheer stupidity. Red BMW driver obviously gets upset at the sport bike riders. Chases after them. Gets out of the car to engage them. Was it worth it? You decide. After the woman in the car pulls the gun, you would think he would just get back in the car but the Rambo complex kicks in and he continues to engage the motorcyclists by holding his bike down... At the very least, if this was reported, the woman could be facing assault with a deadly weapon. By the way, I am pretty sure the sport bike rider had the full right to protect his property under the law of many states when the BMW driver grabbed his bike initially, hence the physical altercation that lead to his a$$ whoopin'.

Not everyone. There are however over 13 Million concealed carry permits in the USA according to the latest data. Everyone is an individual and a concealed carry permit does not imply any guarantees that everyone that carries a gun behaves in a rational way. I'd like to think the vast majority of concealed carry permit holders are balanced and rational people but that can not be determined nor predicted, not when one is issued a permit and certainly not when one starts to carry.

As to the videos above, It is always best not get confrontational with anyone period. It is not your duty to point out he is driving like an a$$hole, that he cut you off, that you are upset by it and doing so will not change their behavior anyways. If there is an accident or intentional damage to your car or property, call the police. If your life is being threatened with deadly force, defend yourself and your loved ones to the best of your ability. Other than that, let it go, it is certainly not worth it getting all emotional and confrontational.

Indeed agree with you there............its just not worth it.

I have been taught by people much wiser than me that when you carry concealed your behavior should be even more non-confrontational than otherwise might be standard behavior. Carrying a concealed weapon does not give us police powers, and I don't want them. Only life threatening situations demand the use of deadly force, and then only to end the threat. The aggressors in the videos above are morons.
