AA Audio Classifed Section

A general announcement, and reminder that AA has it's own Audio & Video Classified Section.

In lieu of the current debacle with A-gon, we are your single best place to buy or sell your gear to other members completely hassle free.

There are no listing fees, or final evaluation fees. You can upload as many pictures as you like.

We have many thousands of Subscribers, and continue to grow daily. I can't even begin to tell you how much gear has been sold right here on AA. So I will let all our members speak about their personal experience.

All you need to view and access this Forum is become a Subscriber for $25.00 per year. This also helps support our site, and ensures our growth!

EXAMPLE - In the past few months:

8 items totalling over $30,000

Every transaction was flawless on both sides and I found all members a comforting pleasure to deal with. Some of my items sold within 1 minute and the 2nd longest was 36 minutes. One item was sold before I even listed it. The buyer anticipated I might be selling it and knew my price would be more than fair. There is absolutely no comparing this site with the others because this place is based on trust and honesty and friendships.

I have bought an integrated amplifier, power conditioning products, and cables via Audio Aficionado. In each case, there was never a shred of doubt regarding the transaction.

Audio Aficionado is not only the friendly forum for high-end audio, but also the "Friendly Marketplace for High-End Audio."

Great section. Would be helpful if there was some way to mark the item sold or still available without having to read through all the posts, etc. (Maybe I don't how to properly use the Thread.)

I let the ads run 90 days, unless sold; then I remove them. :)

In the past few months I have bought several items from other AA members. In every case I have been very very HAPPY!!!! This is the best place to buy used or new gear and in fact this is the only way I would have bought this gear!

With the recent addition of the Amati Futuras, MC 601's, MCD1100 and a RGP1200 ..... my system is really coming together !!!! :)

Since A-gon is trashed, I check the AA Classifed's daily.

Masterlu 02-05-2012 06:40 PM

Bump... For all the new gear for sale in the Classified Section.

dpod4 02-05-2012 08:37 PM

I just listed some items only on AA. I am so frustrated with Audiogon.

Masterlu 02-08-2012 06:38 PM

New Format Coming...

We will soon have individual sub-forums to list gear for sale in.

IE: Speakers, Amplifiers, etc...

Stay tuned!

I am working with my IT people as we speak on upgrading our Marketplace.

It may even be "live" as early as this evening.

Masterlu 02-08-2012 07:43 PM

Ivan,
The new classifieds section looks very good. Thank You!

Burmester Bound 02-11-2012 08:53 PM

I really like what you've done with the AA Marketplace, Great Job Ivan!

Masterlu 02-11-2012 09:11 PM

I just added a few new categories, and a dedicated feedback forum too!

Pider 02-11-2012 09:51 PM

I just visited the Classified Section. Very nice.

Wondering though if you have the "sold" thing worked out yet, or did I miss some announcement about that and just don't know what I'm looking for. If it gets the amount of traffic you are planning / hoping for, that would be a daunting task to keep up with what is or is not sold, unless the poster is good about editing his/her post or deleting the item. I don't envy your the task of figuring out how to do this.

Sure looks good as it is!

I'm gonna go with the 60 day listing time frame; the item(s) can always be re-listed if not sold.

Once the "Seller" posts Sold, the listing will be deleted.

Most, I would assume, will be quick to list the item as sold. Still, given the traffic I hope you will achieve, this is a bunch of work. You and your crew are to be commended!

Hi,

I am interested in seeing the classifieds section but I am reluctant to pay a viewing fee without knowing if it will be useful to me so I have some questions about it. I am not located in the USA. Are these classifieds pretty much USA centric and say 95% of items for sale are only for sale for shipping within USA or are most people willing to sell worldwide?
Are most items for sale in the USA or is there a good mix from all over the world?

Any chance I can get some stats?:
- how many items are currently for sale
- out of those items, roughly how many are for sale to USA only (or USA + Canada).
- how many items currently for sale are located in Australia

Sorry for all the questions but I don't want to pay for a service if it is not suitable for me and this would help me work out if it is suitable.

Anthony

Dunno about the stats, but i have bought from the marketplace here (I live in New Zealand), I bought a McIntosh MEN220.....and I almost bought a C48 from here too but I managed to get a better deal on a newer one elsewhere.....
I think you'll find most people are willing to ship overseas....
I think you'll also find most of the for sale items are in the USA, I can't recall any items for sale in Australia....that's not to say its never happened.....

The subscription is not a huge amount of money, you could subscribe once and if you find its not what you want, don't renew your subscription when it comes up for renewal...

Welcome to AA by the way.
